Protecting Silver Lake

Silver Lake is a natural, glacially formed, private lake located in NorthEast Pennsylvania.

The Silver Lake Association has a Stewardship responsibility to care for the quality of the lake environment for current and future generations.

The lake has been designation by the state of Pennsylvania as an Exception Value (EV) water body which is their highest level of water quality.

Our Stewardship Mission requires that we endeavor to understand the complex, interconnected components, relationships and dependencies of the lake environment and surrounding watershed.

The role of the Silver Lake Association includes a science based approach to setting guidelines for community best practices for enjoying and protecting the lake environment.

The Silver Lake Association maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with the Edward L Rose Conservancy which shares stewardship responsibilities for multiple lake shore and watershed properties.
